Mu Gamma Consultants Private Limited is a research and consultancy organization aimed at improving the quality of life of communities through environment-friendly solutions, drawing knowledge from global best practices and applying it to the local context. Research Associate (Waste Management)

Responsibilities:

Under the leadership and supervision of the Mentor/Supervisor, the successful candidate shall carry out the following tasks: 

  • Contribute to the research, academic and capacity development activities in water resource management aspects (within different environmental matrices). 
  • Support the process of research/knowledge product development such as policy briefs, technical reports and research articles etc. 
  • Contribute to the activities such as literature review, meeting and workshop organizations and liaison with partners. 
  • Travel to project locations for field assessments and consultations with communities, stakeholders, capacity building activities, etc. 
  • Assist in the development of new research projects and contribute to the activities of national policies on relevant subject, fundraising activities for projects including project proposal development, contacting and maintaining dialogues with potential donors, and other work related to fundraising. 
  • Assist with the development of information, knowledge creation for capacity building and social media activities. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Mentor/Supervisor. 

 

Required Qualifications and Experience:
  • Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences/Studies, Physical and Social Sciences or any of the disciplines in Engineering. 
  • Minimum two (2) years of work experience/knowledge in research in sustainable waste management projects. 
  • Experience in drafting and publishing scientific papers. 
  • Experience with drafting project proposals is highly desirable. 
  • Strong motivation and ability to carry out research in an interdisciplinary environment. 
  • Proficiency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of Hindi or any other Indian language would be an asset. 
  • Ability to work within agreed timelines and to communicate clearly and effectively. 
  • A good team player with strong interpersonal skills demonstrated by the ability to work in a multicultural environment. 

Duty Station:

Gurugram, Haryana, India

Remuneration:

Remuneration will be commensurate with qualification and experience of the successful candidate.

Duration of Contract:

This is a full-time employment (40 hours per week) for a fixed period of one (1) year (renewal will be subject to performance) on a Mutual Agreement with MGC.
